Sunday School

It's September and that means
Sunday School has returned! We start at 9:30am for kids (grades K and up). This year’s theme continues our VBS emphasis on gifts—how our individual talents can serve God and others AND the free gifts of grace and forgiveness God gives to us!

Raise the Roof Campaign

We are proud to report that the Roof project is now complete! We now have an entire new roof surface on the south-facing roof of the sanctuary, a brand new gutter system, and new snow guards. Donations for the interior repairs (which much necessarily follow) are greatly welcomed & appreciated here. More information on the project can be found here. Thank you for your support of St. Matthew Trinity!

Annual Report

The St. Matthew Trinity Annual Meeting took place on Sunday, June 4th. The Annual Report can be found here. Thank you to all who were able to join!

Stewardship Opportunities

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.  … 1 Corinthians 12: 4-6

Stewardship is the sharing of our gifts for the common good! We share our time, talent, and money to support the mission of SMT, add beauty to our neighborhood, and enjoy fellowship. You may view our video here that highlights the meaning of stewardship.

Our next project will be making a quilt for the fall program. Looking for quilters, sewers, fabric, creativity, humor, and a joyful experience.

Thank you for your stewardship & support!

Support Lunchtime Ministry

Lunchtime Ministry (LTM) provides a warm meal, hospitality, and community for our neighbors who are homeless, marginally housed, or just hungry. LTM has been serving food to hundreds of guests every week with the help of dozens of volunteers from 8 AM to 12 PM, Monday through Thursday.

You can go to our Amazon Wish List to see what is needed.

Send orders to:

St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church,

A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN BE
TRUE TO YOURSELF

We are always welcoming, never judging.

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Our congregation comes from a variety of backgrounds, welcoming those who are gay and straight, homeless and housed, single, married, widowed, or divorced. The Romanesque-style church was built in 1877 and installed with a majestic George Jardine & Son Tracker
Pipe Organ.

CHILDREN MINISTRIES

God's Word gives spiritual growth. Children ages 3 through 12 have the opportunity to learn about the Bible and how to love God through Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Confirmation class is offered for 7th & 8th graders and a youth group is available for 7th to 12th grade students.

SERVICES

Services are every Sunday at
10:30 AM. Our faith is grounded in the Bible and dedicated to proclaiming the Good News of God’s love to our community through our worship and ministries. We welcome you to join us whether you a long-time Hobokenite, refugee, or recent resident.

MEET OUR VIBRANT COMMUNITY
OF FRIENDS, FAMILIES & KIDS

We are looking forward to meeting you.

HELP US TO SPREAD
LOVE AND FAITH

We believe God calls us to work toward tithing and practice first fruits giving as a way or reminding ourselves that God has given us everything we possess. Set up a regularly re-occuring or one time gift to further the work of God in the world.
