A WARM MEAL,
HOSPITALITY & COMMUNITY
Lunchtime Ministry provides an oasis for those who need a nourishing meal and a place to sit with friends.
What is
Lunchtime Ministry?
Lunchtime Ministry (LTM) was started in the 1970’s by the people of St. Matthew Trinity to provide a warm meal, hospitality, and community for our neighbors who are homeless, marginally housed, or just hungry.
The mission is to provide our Hoboken neighbors with a warm meal, a compassionate community, and a peaceful place to spend the morning. We strive to be a place where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

When
can you join
our table?
Four days a week, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, St. Matthew Trinity’s parish hall becomes an oasis for those who need a nourishing meal and a place to sit with friends.
Supported by donations and volunteers, Lunchtime Ministry provides food and welcome to around 65 guests each day we are open.
We welcome you too!
Where
does the food come from?
LTM receives donations from generous Hoboken restaurants and stores, including Bagels on the Hudson, Johnny Pepperoni, Vito's Deli, Alfalfa Eatery, Dunkin Donuts, City of Saints Coffee Roasters, Chick-fil-A, Lisa's Deli, Choc O Pain, Whole Foods Weehawken, the Hoboken Farmers' Market, Qdoba Mexican Grill, and Trader Joe's; as well as generous individuals throughout the community.

How have you responded to COVID-19?
During the first few months of the pandemic, we served only to-go coffee, sandwiches, and toiletries. In summer of 2020, we opened a strEATery: outdoor tables where our guests could enjoy to-go food. As temperatures drop, we have begun serving hot dishes indoors. Most of our meals are donated by local volunteers rather than prepared onsite. Throughout the pandemic, our guests and volunteers have been required to wash their hands upon entry, wear masks when not eating or drinking, and maintain a safe social distance from each other.
Volunteer
We can use volunteer help anytime during our open hours: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Volunteers help prepare and serve meals, sort donations, and keep our space clean.
One hour of your time can make a difference, so come on by! Large groups welcome.
