Chancel
The Chancel area in the middle of stripping generations of layers of paint. Notice the reds and teal blues that have been uncovered, most likely being the original paint scheme with much of its original stenciling. This is the only area at the moment where new stenciling will be applied, similar to but not exactly copying the 1877 designs.
Here is the side aisle being stripped of 125 years of paint. Notice the stenciling under the arches. Although this art will be covered again, plans are to replicate the design in the future - perhaps in the summer of 2008 - if monies become available and the congregation decides to proceed.

Chancel stenciling
Here can be seen the intricate reddish stenciling adorning the chancel area that has been uncovered - probably from 1877. But notice the teal wash toward the lower portion of the wall which is perhaps an undercoat of later coats of paint and stenciling. A similar color will be reproduced, again accompanied with stenciling.
From 1877, the original faux-painted building blocks which surround all the stained glass windows. The windows themselves were much simpler than those we see now having been added later in the last part of the 19th century. Only two examples of the original glass remain - a large window in the south sacristy and one small window in the men's room.
