St Matthew circa 1858
St Matthew Lutheran Church first worshipped on the corner of Washington & 3rd Streets in Hoboken until 1878 when they moved into their new sanctuary on Hudson & 8th Streets, the edge of town at the time. The original building still stands, although altered and is the present home of McDonald's.
